Dispute Resolution
Protecting your interests at every stage of the litigation process
When faced with a commercial dispute, it helps to know you have experienced lawyers capable of providing best-in-class advice, on your side.
At Jurit our senior, partner-level dispute resolution experts have worked at many of the leading City law firms and chambers, as well as for global law firms in the Middle East, Hong Kong and Singapore, providing international litigation and arbitration advice.
Tireless advocates of our clients, we have managed some of the most complex multi-jurisdictional disputes for both individuals and corporates – from SMEs to FTSE 100 companies – with particular expertise in the marine and oil and gas sectors.
We are also specialists in litigation finance, and work with one of the largest litigation funders to enable the financing of claims.
Our people, your team
Whatever your challenge, we will work with you to navigate the best route through, and will approach your situation with all the intellectual rigour that our many years of experience brings.
This experience, together with the calibre and candour of our lawyers, really does set us apart, as does our ability to bring together internationally compelling teams to provide best-in-class dispute resolution services – at a fraction of the cost of the magic-circle firms.
Yours will be a tailored service, drawing on expertise from across our firm and global network of experts, to ensure you experience the same level of care, attention and commitment that we would expect for ourselves.
It is this approach to our work which also makes us trusted counsel to several international law firms.

Our clients
Ben Macfarlane has assisted me on numerous cases over the past around 10 years and I would not have the slightest of hesitance to say that he is one of the most experienced and knowledgeable shipping lawyers in London. His expertise in dispute resolution and extensive experience of arbitration and litigation in both the UK and internationally is second to none.
He has assisted me in arbitrations, court cases and mediations and is my first port of call for any questions that I may have in Shipping or Marine Insurance matters. Above all, he is honest, which I believe to be the most important attribute for a lawyer.
Captain Rajiv Thakar - Master Mariner, LL.M. Maritime Law, Casualty and Complex Claims Director, W.E. Cox Claims Group (Europe) Limited
I’ve known Ben for fifteen years. Over that time, I’ve had the opportunity to work with him on a number of interesting matters and consider him a trusted advisor. He is approachable, exercises sound judgment, is responsive and efficient. He thinks clearly and has the ability to present complex issues with the same skill. He fills an important need we have for marine and energy insurance coverage, and the ability to operate fluidly in different jurisdictions. I frequently rely on him to coordinate and oversee multi-disciplinary teams investigating coverage on international claims. His prior work experience in the Far East and throughout Europe is a significant asset for us.
